Q&A
Welcome to the Q&A section of WRR Pet Services. Here, we answer some common questions you may have about our pet care services.
What services does WRR Pet Services offer?
Can I visit your property before the booking?
We get many nervous, reactive and elderly pets with extra needs and it's for this reason we cannot offer in person visits. Pet theft is also a huge concern! In the last few years, this has greatly risen, not everyone is who they say they are, some may be here to scope out our property and to ensure everyone is kept safe, there is no one in the property. It has risen by 30% in the last few years. VHD and Myxomatosis are deadly diseases, to ensure everyone is kept safe, we ensure we know who enters and leaves this property, this means we rarely get to see family anymore as well. We ourselves can change clothes, wear PPE and follow through with protocols but other people won't be able to do this, this would mean unnecessarily putting others at risk. Both of these nasty diseases can be carried on clothes and shoes. With vaccines being 60-80% effective we must ensure we have other tight restrictions in place to keep everyone safe. To ensure we can stay open, it's now only the 3 people who live here that enter and leave. We can however offer video calls to show you around and see what's here.
Lastly, this is our home, our private space. We have lots of guests arriving and leaving everyday. We want to ensure our property is kept clean, tidy and peaceful for our guests but also our own pets and local neighbours.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THIS BEFORE BOOKING. THERE IS NO REFUND GIVEN IF YOU CHOOSE TO BOOK AND LATER DECIDE YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THESE ARRANGEMENTS.
Vaccines for pets
For all services it is mandatory for all rabbits to be vaccinated and up to date.
For dogsand cats we recommend vaccines, but they aren't mandatory
Intact dogs (Male/Female)
Female dogs in heat are NOT allowed on walks during our stay and female cats in heat are not allowed out. They can be walked or let out the rest of the time but not during their heat. It is way to risky for the female, she may end up pregnant or could get seriously injured by a male trying his luck. It is our responsibility to keep your pets safe, by signing our agreement you agree to this.
Males intact are walked in quiet areas, it is our responsibility to ensure others safety and all intact males can react differently to other dogs.
What are your hygiene protocols?
Easy:
- No in person visits
- All enclosures, shoes and equipment cleaned with Anigene disinfectant
- No back to back bookings
- Masks worn upon request
- Regular hand washing
- Vaccines essential
Are you insured?
Absolutely! We are both fully insured with PBI insurance and proof of this can be sent
Do you offer meet and greets for pet sitting and dog walking?
Absolutely, these are mandatory! We have to meet any potential clients before taking the booking, this is to ensure everyone is happy. The only thing payed for is petrol at 45p a mile.
Do you take deposits?
Absolutely!
For boarding its 50%
For pet sitting its 50%
All deposits are non-refundable.
Another place/person is cheaper, can you price match?
Sadly not.
Our prices are fair and very cheap for where we are. Our prices ensures we are still able to pay bills whilst still offering great prices. I won't get upset or offended if you use someone cheaper, times are tough for everyone.
Why is there petrol costs?
The cost of living crisis has affected everyone. To ensure quotes stay as low as possible, a standard 45p a mile cost is added on.
Can I pay once I've returned from my holiday?
I'm afraid not, all payments must be made on the day we or they arrive. And bookings are also only secured with deposits.
